Scaleway

Scaleway is one of the services I'm using since a couple of years now. In the beginning just a little bit to test them. They had some issues with older service instances which got stuck some time.

try to take money 1-2 weeks early so your literally paying every 2-3 weeks instead of every month. Restrict account when you refuse to pay early and then you try to get it sorted and it takes them 5 days to reply to messages on tickets.

Used their STARDUST1-S instance which is supposed to be priced at 0.4 EUR a month and was surprised that my card was charged 4 EUR. Upon checking, turns out that there are fees for the IP address and block storage, which are approx. 3.5 EUR. Not to mention that the instance is very slow: I knew that since they tell you it's for development only, but the slow does not justify the 4 EUR price. I could have went with a reputable provider and a stable server at this price. Giving this review because of the hidden fees - I only used the instance for a month and will never use this company again until they fix their pricing scheme and services.

took money for a verification and then said the option it offered was not actually available and then informed me i needed to verify my government id before i could use the trial they already charged me for and then said no machines available - and that they'll "let me know when one is available" ah yeah no worries guys, just renting a mac for leisurly activities..... yeah , dont use this company.
